About Me

I have done the work I will ask you to do if you decide to be my client. I have walked through the scary shadows of my past and when my past lost the power to impact my present I started showing up in my life in big ways! I work daily to maintain self-compassion. This is what I’d like to help you learn. It is my firm belief that it is a therapist’s responsibility to keep engaged in their own personal work and I maintain that commitment.

I am a relentless student of personal growth, reading all the books I can on trauma, feminist ideas and healing attachment wounds. On any given day, you will find me geeking out over a new podcast I’ve become obsessed with that opens my heart and mind to understanding myself and others more deeply. I am a humble student of anti-racism principles and commit to an openness to my blind spots on race. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

EMDR is the primary modality that I use for healing. I also use the supportive modalities of somatic healing techniques, inner child healing, IFS, mindfulness and CBT.

About You

The clients that have the most success with my approach are the ones that are truly ready to work. They’ve reached a time in their life where they can no longer stand feeling badly about themselves for something that happened to them! They are ready to do the dirty work and realize that they have to commit to changes both in session and out.
